Qalam Collegiate Academy's Middle and High school education is a blend of rigorous academic content and robust experiential learning. At the core of all, each QCA member is committed to helping students develop into lifelong learners dedicated to the pursuit of high academic honors and social and emotional intelligence.  In order to fulfill this commitment, QCA  adheres to the guidelines set by the TEA (Texas Education Agency). QCA participates in the yearly STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) assessments. Consequently, our curriculum is based on the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) to outline what students are to learn in each course or grade.

TEKS outlines the objectives of each course developed by the Texas Education Agency. At the end of the year, students are assessed through the STAAR tests to show mastery of these objectives.

STAAR Tests offered are as follows:

Grade 5: Math, Reading, and Science
Grade 6: Math and Reading
Grade 7: Math, Reading, and Writing
Grade 8: Algebra 1, Reading, Science and Social Studies

High School students will have to pass 5 EOC (End of year assessments), in order to graduate: Algebra 1, Biology, English 1, English 2, and U.S. History.
